At a launch event in San Jose, California, on the 17th of January, Samsung unveiled its groundbreaking new camera range to a huge wave of buzz and excitement.
The Sun’s Senior Tech Report Jamie Harris has taken a closer look at some of the new features in the brand-new flagship device, including an AI-powered Chat Assistant that will change the tone of the message you’re writing across multiple platforms, including WhatsApp.
Having taken the device for a test drive, Jamie also found that the use of the term AI wasn’t just for show to drive sales up and goes into full detail in his Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra review.
He found the new live translation tool was found to work ‘reasonably considering it’s in real-time.’
However, ‘ there were some slight errors in detecting the correct word,’ so don’t expect it to work as cleanly as someone who speaks both languages.
Another feature that people are likely to find highly useful is the AI Note Assist as it breaks ‘down lengthy text into a nice quick read’ especially handy for anyone behind on meeting notes or lectures.
If you’re curious about whether or not your device will be getting the AI-powered upgrade, Samsung has revealed seven Android phones in line for a free upgrade this year with top Galaxy S24 features.
There’s also a Circle To Search function on the Samsung Galaxy S24 that lets you draw a circle around anything – text, graphics, image – on your screen to perform a Google search.
The new Samsung Galaxy S24 is available for purchase now before going on sale on Wednesday, 31st January.
