THE AMAZON Spring Sale is hours away, but we’ve already seen an amazing gaming console deal.

Amazon has slashed the price of the PS5 Slim from £479.99 to £389 exclusively for Prime members.

Prime members can get their hands on the latest Playstation 5 for just £389

All shoppers can pick up the Sony console for the reduced sum of £409 – but it’s just Prime subscribers who can claim an extra £20 off at the checkout.

Anyone with an eye on the gaming market knows that the PS5 has been like an endangered species in recent years – due to worldwide shipping issues the console was hard to find anywhere.

To have them back in abundant supply is good enough news. This new price drop? Even better.

So if you’ve been looking for an excuse to snap up this fifth-generation PlayStation, Amazon’s current sale seems like the perfect opportunity.

But if you’re not an Amazon Prime member, you’ll be pleased to hear that plenty of retailers have matched the PS5’s non-Prime sale price.

Take a look below:

While many of us are more than familiar with the PS5’s capabilities if you’re looking to make the switch from Xbox or a PC, read on to learn what the home system is capable of.

The PS5 is packed with powerful gaming technology, all tucked away in a smaller design than the initial release, so you won’t have to rearrange your room to find space for it.

One of the best things is saying goodbye to the tediously long loading times, as some games can launch in just one second – in other words, less time waiting and more time playing.

For the slightly more tech-savvy individuals, the GPU, CPU and SSD are all custom-made and rewrite what we’re used to from gaming consoles.

The PlayStation 5 also allows you to play games in 4K and up to 120 frames per second, so you may need to upgrade your monitor if you want to get the most out of the console.

Lastly, while the console is a marvel in itself, the controllers are worth mentioning, as you’ll be far more immersed with haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and 3D Audio technology.

This means your controller vibrates with different intensities based on the game environment, and the triggers will be harder to press depending on what you’re trying to do.

There are bound to be many more deals popping up soon, as Amazon’s Spring Sale starts at midnight tonight and ends on 25 March.

The PS5 isn’t the only golden deal we’ve spotted recently. I stumbled across the Google Pixel 8, reduced by 15% from £999 to £849.

Alongside this, Senior Writer Matthew Breen spotted one for Apple fans as the AirPods Pro had its price slashed to just £199.
