ANDROID fans have cause to celebrate: a new flagship phone series has just been released and it looks like an absolute game-changer for portrait photographers.

The Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro have launched in the UK today, and you can claim a free premium speaker with either handset.

Two new major Android mobiles have just hit the market in the form of the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro – and they’re available to pre-order now

Honor 200 Series: from £499.99

In the last few years, we’ve watched Honor bloom into a big-hitter on the Android smartphone market, consistently releasing devices packed with eye-catching features and innovations.

The Sun’s Shopping section recently covered a great deal on one of its SIM-free budget handsets– but make no mistake: the Honor 200 and 200 Pro are unashamedly top-of-the-line mobiles.

Read on to find out more about these two new releases, and why Android aficionados in the market for top-end devices should have them on their radar.

LAUNCH OFFER: CLAIM A PREMIUM SPEAKER WITH THE HONOR 200 SERIES

We’ve seen Honor draw in shoppers with giveaways with previous phone launches - and the 200 range is no exception

We’ve seen Honor draw in shoppers with giveaways with previous phone launches – and the 200 range is no exception. With the Honor 200 Pro, you can claim the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 8 that’s worth £279.99, and with the Honor 200, you can pick up a JBL Charge 5 worth £199.99. Available across all retailers whilst stocks last.

Honor 200 Pro: Design, features and specs

While other brands (naming no names) showcase gimmicky camera features like photobomb eraser tools, Honor is going for pure class with its brand-new AI Portrait Engine, alongside a mighty 50MP Triple Portrait Camera.

This new technology comes from a partnership – and hundreds of hours of development – with Parisian photography house Studio Harcourt.

Together, the two brands have produced a new AI tool that will make your camera portraits more detailed, subtle and nuanced than anything you’ve seen before.

Under the hood, these two new phones pack all the leading firepower you would expect from a flagship series: the Honor 200 Pro is powered with the ultra-fast Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, which is the brand’s flagship processor.

The AI capabilities stretch into The Honor 200 Pro’s display, where a Circadian Night Display feature automatically adjusts the colour temperature of your screen as day moves into night, banishing the blue light that can disrupt your melatonin levels (perfect for those guilty parties who fall asleep scrolling through social media).

On top of that, an Adaptive Dimming function will intelligently tweak the brightness levels of the display depending on the external environment.

The Honor 200 is available in Moonlight White, Emerald Green and Black, and the Honor 200 Pro is available in Ocean Cyan, Moonlight White and Black.

Honor 200 and 200 Pro: Release date

Both the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro were launched today (Wednesday 12th June) on the Honor website.

The handsets will be available to pre-order from a range of UK retailers including Argos, Amazon, Very and Currys from Friday 21st June, before going on general sale on Wednesday 26th June.

Honor 200 and 200 Pro: Price and availability

The Honor 200 has an RRP of £499.99, and the Honor 200 Pro has an RRP of £699.99.

We don’t yet have a comprehensive list of networks and providers who will be selling these new devices on contract – but we do now they’ll be available on the Three network from Friday 28th June.

Don’t forget about the budget-friendly Honor 200 Lite, either, which costs £249.99 at honor.com/uk.
