ANYONE shopping for a new smartphone should take a look at a cheap deal from Mobiles.co.uk that comes with a freebie.

Android fans can get their hands on the Samsung S23 FE with 250GB of data for £15 upfront and £30p/m – plus a free pair of Galaxy Buds FE.

Mobiles.co.uk is offering the S23 FE, 250GB of data for £15 upfront and £30p/m, plus you get a free pair of Galaxy Buds FE

Anyone familiar with Samsung is likely aware that the S series is the tech giant’s flagship line, who handsets comes with all the fancy frills you would expect.

But the FE – which stands for ‘Fan Edition’ – are the brand’s affordable alternative to the main flagship Android phones.

In contrast to the FE, Mobiles.co.uk is currently offering the standard S23 for £34 a month, but with a much higher upfront cost of £95 – and you don’t get the free buds.

As you can imagine, there’s a trade-off in specs: the FE doesn’t have every feature of the flagship S23, it’s still packed with fan-favourite features.

These are essentially voted in after the company receives feedback from its customers.

Getting your hands on a device packed with all the popular features for a lower price sounds like an absolute win to me.

When you look at what’s been left in the Samsung S23 FE, it’s clear why it’s been labelled a Fan Edition.

The 6.4-inch display is larger than the S23’s 6.1-inch screen, so you’ve got more space to stream shows from Netflix.

Oh, and don’t worry too much about ruining the super-sharp AMOLED display: it’s made from the super-strong Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which improves upon the already tough Victus 1 glass in previous generations.

The camera capabilities should keep most shoppers happy: the rear configuration has a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera that’s powered by a super powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.

To top it all off, you’re also getting 250GB of data, which is quite a sizeable chunk to try to use each month.

However, whether you’re streaming your favourite shows or music, Mobiles.co.uk is also throwing in a free pair of Galaxy Buds FE as the perfect addition, so you’re also getting £99 worth of tech for free.

The Galaxy Buds themselves are worth £99 separately, although admittedly they’re currently on sale for £74 on Amazon.

This is actually one of several knockout deals I’ve spotted on Samsung phones in the last few weeks.

If you want the latest device from Samsung with all the shiny frills that the Fan Edition is created from, I spotted the S24 Ultra for £19 upfront and £44.99 a month, you get a free Galaxy tablet and a hefty 500GB allowance.

On the other hand anyone on a shoe-string budget, I also spotted the Samsung A35 handset with a whopping 500GB of data for nothing upfront and just £18.99 a month– you’ll also get £50 cashback

As you can see there are a bunch of Samsung devices on the market and it can be difficult to keep up with them all.

So, if you’ve still got a few questions about the real differences between the fan and flagship series, head over to my Samsung Galaxy S23 vs Samsung Galaxy FE explainer for an in-depth look.
