AMAZON Prime Day is in its second and final day, and I’ve spotted a fantastic deal for car drivers – and one who want to save cash on their insurance.

The retail giant has slashed the price of the Redtiger Dash Cam by 36% for Prime members – it now costs just £117.48.

Amazon‘s Prime Day deals are in full swing, and we’ve spotted some fantastic tech deals across the site.

However, we all know huge sales like these won’t last forever, so if something has caught your eye, make sure you act before midnight tonight (Wednesday 17th July).

I spotted this price drop on Amazon’s electronics movers and shakers page, which lists items that have surged in popularity in the last 24 hours.

Driving comes with numerous risks, from weather conditions to wild animals, but most drivers can agree on one thing. The biggest danger is usually everyone else.

Dash cams aren’t an essential purchase, but their use is undoubtedly worth more than the price you pay to purchase one.

Firstly, a handful of insurance companies out there provide slight discounts for anyone with a dash cam installed – it might not be the biggest saving, but every little helps nowadays.

The most important factor is that if you ever get into an accident, you have video evidence of how it happened and who’s at fault, so insurance claims become a lot easier.

Of course, the Redtiger Dash Cam records while you drive, providing video evidence that you were not at fault.

Since you’ll want whatever you record to be usable, it records up to 4K resolution. Couple that with the STARVIS sensor, and key details like road signs and vehicle number plates will always be readable upon playback.

Low visibility also increases risk, but the dash cam still has you covered thanks to the Super Night Vision feature, which automatically increases exposure in dark situations – no hit-and-runs without you getting that number plate.

It even acts as a guardian angel while you’re not in the car. If the G-sensor detects a sudden collision, it locks and saves the video.

Should anyone bump your car when you’ve popped into the shop, the 24-hour parking monitor records continuously for 24 hours.

Drivers on Amazon who’ve taken the extra step to ensure they’re always covered have great things to say about the dash cam.

One notes, ‘The 4K resolution delivers crystal-clear footage, ensuring that every detail is captured with precision.’

‘Whether it’s capturing license plates or identifying road hazards, the clarity of the video is unparalleled.’

‘The addition of a rear camera further enhances the coverage, providing complete protection from all angles.’

Another ecstatic shopper states, ‘The image is crystal-clear from both the front and the back, and the cameras itself are small and discreet.’

Amazon Prime Day only comes around twice a year at most currently, so if you are on the fence about making a purchase it’s worth remembering two key things.

The first is that the deals end tonight at midnight, so you don’t have much longer to make a decision.

The second is that the deals are exclusive for members, so if you haven’t already, now is a great time to sign up for Amazon Prime.
